AHF Educational Trip to Al-Andalus, Spain
Abu Hanifah Foundation went on its first international school trip visiting the historical cities of Muslim Spain, or al-Andalus. A place which saw religious tolerance—a “golden age” in which Muslims, Jews, and Christians coexisted and thrived living together. The students visited scenic, historic, religious and cultural attractions including the Alhambra in Granada; the eighth-century Mezquita, a huge mosque turned cathedral, in Cordoba and the ruins of Madinat Al-Zahra, a vast fortified palace-city built by Abd-ar-Rahman III. A fantastic spiritual journey with many lessons learnt.
